What makes NUCCA different?

NUCCA has the uncanny ability to make people well again, yet there is no magic. The procedure is soundly grounded on engineering principles of mathematics, physics, and biomechanics that enables the doctor too precisely, gently, and painlessly restore balance to the upper cervical (neck) spine which translates into whole body balance and improve nerve function.

NUCCA is an acronym for the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association. The procedure is redefining how chiropractic is being practiced. The traditional methodology of twisting, bending, cracking, popping, or snapping the spine back into place is slowly being replaced by methods that painlessly and gently realign the entire spine and pelvic region without any popping or twisting.

The procedure is breaking down barriers that have keep millions of men, women, and children from utilizing chiropractic. Many people were concerned that the popping and twisting could cause them harm, others had the concern about the frequency of spinal adjustments, and others truly believed that it was not effective. The NUCCA procedure removes all these fears and concerns. The procedure requires no twisting of the spine, the adjustment is gentle and painless, the precision of the spinal correction allows for greater spinal stability which translates into 90% few spinal adjustments, and finally the procedure tends to alleviate nerves stress throughout the body at a higher success rate than other procedures resulting in more consistent and reproducible health benefits.

How is NUCCA experienced by members of Keystone Spinal Care?

1. The doctor takes 3 pre X-rays of the upper cervical spine to calculate the 3-dimenional misalignment of the neck and skull.

2.  Positioning for the spinal correction requires a person to lay on his/her right or
left side without any turning of the head or neck.

3.  All corrections unitize a hand contact directed to the top bone in the spine called
the atlas. This corrects the entire spine (neck, mid-back, low-back, and hips.)

4.  During the correction, the patient feels a light touch behind the lower tip of the
right or left ear.

5. Post x-rays immediately following the correction validations its accuracy

6. To ensure proper relaxation a 10-15 minute rest in our recliners is encouraged
to help stabilize the spine in it new (corrected) position

This new corrected position of the neck, spine, and hips encourages proper body balance and brain to body nerve communication. This improved nerve flow allows the body to start healing itself from the inside out.
